The original location was in Joliet, IL established in 1964, and sold ancient coins and small antiquities mainly through mail order. In 1989, a rare opportunity presented itself when Harlan was offered the historic coin location on 31 N. Clark Street in the heart of the financial district.

Over sixty years later HJB Ltd. continues to grow and change with the times. The downtown store offers our customers the experience of meeting face to face with our experts. Alternatively, we offer a range of buying options and auction platforms to appeal to all customers.
